[Updating] With Bermuda Day 2021 now behind us, Bernews is looking forward to 2022’s iteration, with big plans to bring our readers a wider range of coverage than ever before!
In March 2022, the Government officially announced that “after a two-year absence, our signature annual event, the Bermuda Day Parade will return on Friday 27th May 2022.”
They noted that the 2022 Heritage Month theme is “Togetherness” as “despite the challenges that we’ve faced since the pandemic, the truth is that we are a community that relies and depends on one another.”
The Cycling Race and Half Marathon Derby will start in Somerset and end at Bernard’s Park, and the Parade — which will be live streamed on CITV, Bernews and here on BDADay.com — will take place in Hamilton.
Bernews has been covering Bermuda Day for over a decade, and with the launch of this dedicated holiday website in 2021, we plan to continue to upgrade our coverage as we move into the future. The launch of BDADay.com follows after the launch of BernewsCupMatch.com, with the island’s two major holidays now having full websites in order to help Bermudians virtually celebrate, as well as record the fun, festivities, and history for generations to come.
